such an update...

  • Mood: good
  • Music: when you come back down, by nickel creek
hey, ok so i got bored and dcided to surf jeeves about ovarian cysts (what i got) and it lead me to this site:

http://familydoctor.org/279.xml

yes, i am going to have surgery. on march 17. and i wont be able (or allowed ) to do gymnastics until a good while (2 weeks - 2 MONTHS) after..... now im left pondering the thought 'how on EARTH am I to survive THAT long without gym?!?!?!?!?'

perhaps the little perk that i wont have any PE classes for just that same length of time could help a little

ok, but about the site, what really freaked me out is that ovarian cysts can be cancerous. yes - the doc said she thought it looked non cancerous, but that a If , and MIGHT. bleh.

and yes, they are going to remove my entire left ovary. no biggy. the right one will comepletely take over. the only thing is that menopause will prolly come a lil sooner for me. but its not as if i was planning on having children.... but strangely now.... i kinda almost want to..... not really, tho.

where was i? oh yeah. the right one will totally take over for the left one. so its not as if i could only get pregnant every other month, lol, no, and its not as if ill havethe luxury of a every-other-month period. HA! as if my luck were THAT good.

*clears throat*

so i hae become a gum addict. i kno, bad for the teeth, but i cant help it, it help me concentrate. thats proly why im doing kinda bad in school - i cant concentrate!

and i have decided, what with the lack of gymnastics in my life, i will have to keep myself in shape  dont worry, i wont push anything TOO hard - just some crunches, upper/lower body lifts, you kno, that kinda thing. that way, i woont lose my beautiful, gorgeously kept shape by the time i get back to the gym - which wont be long, i promise.

as for the surgery, im not sweatin it in the least. ive had surgery before. i was an outpatient (i didnt have a lil sleepover  at the hospital) i was 6 and my earring got stuck in my earring hole. lol. go figure, eh? and im telling you, back in 1997, they still used gas to put you to sleep - and that stuff STINX!!! when i woke up, MAN did i ever feel naseous, lol

snap, i really gotta look up that word, lol.... nasous, naseus... mweh...

anyway, so at the hospital, they dont know if they can do
laparoscopy [the belly button thingy]
(if you havent gone the the sit listed above, you prolly should, or else i'll sound like im speakin a dif. lingo) or laparotomy [the insision thingy] and if it the last one, then ill be an in-patient (me and the hospital get to have a little sleepover for a few days!!)

i just hope they dont take any more blood, but i WILL get another IV.... maybe they could put in my left arm this time, so i can write, what do you think?

um, oh, yeah, Nickel Creek!

before the move, i was compeltely hooked on country music videos. And the station (VH1 Country, i think) played alot of nickel creek, and i feel in love with the nice and smooth bluegrass group

i swear, that girl has the most beautiful voice ever, and the unique sound of the Mandolin along with the violing and guitar..... *sigh* muy muy bonita. TresTres Belle.

you guys should check them out.

um, i think thats it

im gonna go brush my teeth and clean my room, now, bye!

.... im tellin you.... its the drugs man!!!

I had an ovarian cyst. It was 20 pounds, the size of a mans head, and I never even knew it was in there until my doc found it in a routine "lady" checkup.

I was cut open from about an inch above my belly button all the way down to just above my pubic area and was in the hospital for 3 days out of comission (pretty much on my back in bed or sittign in a comfy chair) for a month, and VERY sore for about 6 months afterwards.

They also stole my appenex while they were in there. (I say stole cause i Never gave them permission to remove it, they just went ahead and did it while they had me open.

I'm hoping yours is MUCH smaller and the whole ordeal is MUCH less for you.
